How to Butcher a Chicken – Part 2 (Processing)

In How to Butcher a Chicken – Part 1 we demonstrated cutting the artery, scalding, and de-feathering. It was everything you could hope for in a video about killing a chicken. Thrilling, exciting, breathtaking! It kept you on the edge of your seat and left off with a cliff hanger!

Ok, really it was just plain functional, practical, demonstrative and educational. Still good stuff. But it did leave you hanging… Holding a dead, bald chicken…. Lets remedy the situation right now, shall we?

Part 2  shows you how to process your chicken. We walk you through removing the feet, the head, and an efficient technique on gutting.

You can find the fish and game cleaning table we used in the video here.  Its not necessary, but it’s very convenient. We are very impressed with it.

(It also doubles as a super fun water play table for kids when you are done!)
