Rosemary is known for is ability to strengthen and speed hair growth. I have noticed less hair loss when I use it, which is exciting! It also adds beautiful shine and great volume. I love to add rosemary oil to my hair rinses and even my clay shampoo, but essential oils can be pricey. This infusion is a great alternative and it gets the same results as the oil. You can even use it as a wash, not just a rinse. I have noticed that when I “water wash” my hair with this infusion it looks and feels even cleaner. See my alternatives to shampoo here.
Rosemary Hair Infusion
One large pot filled with 2 quarts of water
4 big handfuls of fresh rosemary sprigs or 4 tablespoons dried rosemary
Put the springs or ground herbs in the water and bring to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes and then remove from heat. Cover and allow to cool. In the morning strain out the rosemary sprigs and pour the liquid into a large mason jar. Keep in the refrigerator. To use it I pour about half a cup into a jar and add half a cup of hot water to warm it up and use it as my final rinse after water washing my hair. It really adds shine and volume, not to mention speeds hair growth!
Rosemary is one of the key ingredients this detangler/growth enhancer rinse/spray. Its my favorite.
